Contact Key
Perfect for experiments which require momentary current; the contact key can be used to open or close an electrical circuit. The key is mounted on a 3" x 4-1/2" black acrylic base, with two binding posts. The key is made of plated metal with contacts and insulated button which is pressed to close the circuit momentarily. (3" x 4-1/2" x 3"; (.5lb).
Electricity and Magnetism Kits
This kit can be used to demonstrate most of the principles of electricity. Supplied with an easily understood instruction manual.
Electrodes
Perfect for experiments- available in several different elements! Pre-cut to cut down on project time and flat electrodes are stamped with the element symbol.
Electromagnet
A U-shaped electromagnet having two removable excitation coils and an armature with hook. Overall length approximately 13 cm. Terminals are mounted at the top of each coil.
Magneto Generator
Perfect for classroom demonstrations of the effect a load has on a power source! The field of this magneto consists of a single Alnico magnet, which has a strong magnetic flux density. Capable of producing higher voltages then cobalt-steel magnets.
Meter Overhead Projection
These fully functional electric meters are built in transparent cases so that they can easily be projected for classroom education. Each unit incorporates dampening features, magnetic shielding and an accuracy of + or - 2.5%. Provided with a well-written instruction sheet offering a number of suggested uses.
Primary & Secondary Coil
Experiment with Transformer Principles and Induction! The outer coil is 4-1/2" tall and 2-3/4" in diameter. The inner coil is 3-3/4" tall and 1-1/4" in diameter. The removable steel core with handle is 1/2" in diameter and 5-1/2" tall. All coils are wrapped with 20-gauge magnet wire with insulated binding posts as connectors.
Solenoids
Used for many demonstrations involving electric magnets or solenoids. A plastic spool is wrapped with three layers of 20-gauge magnet wire. A 1.8 cm diameter removable steel core is located inside the solenoid. Insulated binding posts are located at each end for application of an electric current.
Transformation of Energy Apparatus
Demonstrate the transformation of mechanical energy into electrical energy, light, heat and sound energy with one apparatus!
